Hello. I recently acquires a bennett 646 from a local farm in Pa. The glass (or what was left stated american. It was brushed white at one point, but the original colors were red and yellow. What could this possibly have been. Here are some photos. Thanks - Rob

RED, WHITE & BLUE, w/ possibly a Gold stripe for Premium Grade.

the colors on your pump was actually used by American for their Ethyl gasoline in 1934-35, and by Wadhams for their regular, between 1930-37, both before your pump was made...
Holiday used them between 59-62 for their Regular, so that is a possibility.

The white paint was probably applied in the mid 60 when most brands changed to white.

Found the yellow/red color schemes in the book "Guide to gas pump restoration" by Henderson/Benjamin.
