THE STEPS TAKEN SEEM TO HAVE HAD AN IMPACT ON THE SELLERS ON EBAY SELLING NEW AS OLD. I HAVE ADDED SOME NAMES SINCE I SENT OUT THE LIST. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE COMPLETE LIST OF 67 ID'S TO TRUST AND SECURITY AT EBAY. A LARGE NUMBER ARE NO LONGER LISTING AT THIS TIME. BUT WE HAVE HIT THEM IN THE WALLET SO I AM SURE THE PROBLEM WILL ESCALATE AGAIN. WE MUST KEEP REPORTING THE LISTINGS TO EBAY WHEN WE SEE THEM. THERE ARE MORE ACTIONS PLANNED. ANY OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BUYING WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS A GOOD SIGN SHOULD RELIST IT ON EBAY AND EXPOSE IT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. YOU CAN'T USE ANY OTHER SELLERS ID'S IN THE DISCRIPTION,BUT YOU SURE CAN CALL A SPADE A SPADE. THAT WOULD BE EXTREMELY HELPFULL IN EDUCATING THE NEW COLLECTORS. DIANE

I contacted Diane the other day on ebay. Told her about a local guy that came over to my house to look at some signs. He just started collecting Sinclair and is new to the hobby. Before he arrived, I looked at his feed backs on Ebay and noticed two signs he purchased were repops. Upon arrival I gave him the bad news. He was floored and asked me how I new they were fake.
I told him he could open a case against the sellers and get his money back. He left the sellers positive FB.

BOY DID HE GET *****! I HOPE HE GETS HIS MONEY BACK. IF YOU FIND OUT LET ME KNOW. I REPORTED THESE TWO SIGNS SEVERAL TIMES WHEN THE LISTING WAS ACTIVE AND AGAIN AFTER THEY CLOSED.

SOME of the Vendors are part of the Problem as they are making/having items made that are NOT DATED/MARKED as a FANTASY ITEM.

Great job but these seller will just change their ebay name and continue. I just went through the Resolution Center with ebay on a Jenny Aero sign I stupidly purchased. they tend to take the sellers side and the sellers story more seriously and I had to PROVE the sign was a fake and, yes, I did get my money back yesterday.

YES THE ID CHANGE WILL BE A PROBLEM,THAT IS WHY WE AS COLLECTORS HAVE TO STAY ON TOP OF THE PROBLEM AND KEEP REPORTING EVERY TIME WE RUN ACROSS THE LISTINGS. THERE IS ONE THAT IS STILL A PROBLEM I WOULD LIKE YOU AS COLLECTORS TO REPORT THIS ONE. ITEM # 130893792830 (SHELL SIGN)BUT MOST OF HIS SIGNS ARE PHONY.

Probably easier to get your money back by damaging the sign and telling eBay the seller didn't send the sign that was auctioned off. They always take the buyers side on that with the buyer protection *****.

I applaud what you are doing to cut down on fakes being passed off as old, but please with sugar on top turn the "cap lock" OFF

Diane, I believe in the "Computer World" using all caps; Is the same as shouting at the readers.... And it does seem to bother quite a few people...

Strange for some reason, it has never bothered me. And many people/Members here, have expressed that; I have a bad habit
(am working to correct) of "flying off the handle" at the drop of a hat...

So in the past most things seemed to "p*ss me off... LOL
