Some time ago(about 3 or 4 years) when John Jarvis put up a new globe shelf in his house, he was kind enough to email a diagram of it to me!
About a month ago, I started in building a globe shelf for an area in my shop, and I used Johns diagram to build the thing. I used a one inch square aluminum tubing for the frame and put 1/2 inch finished plywood on top, and then had a man that does race car bodies bend up a colored aluminum covering for it and put some decorative beading along the front. It took a month because all of these people that were part of it, had schedules that I had to fit into.
Well, this week it was finally finished and I attached the new chrome globe rings and got out my trusty tape measure and marked the wall so I could drill pilot holes into the studs for my lag bolts! Everything went perfect and it wasn't long before I had the shelf on the wall!
Next step was to take down the globes that I wanted on the shelf and clean them up a little! The Warden helped out and between the 2 of us, we had the shelf filled in a couple hours! Now to start rearranging the rest of my globes with all this new found room!

Thank you John Jarvis!!!

That's awesome! Imagine all those globes lit up & another long light shining down on your signs. The Ace High globe...I will have one...someday I will have one.
