This appears fishy to me, what do you guys think? Maybe someone that knows how to put the link on here could do it.

Same curve as a West Coast Tok 850, where I have mine mounted.

Are you guys talking about the two curved SOCONY signs pictures in this thread?
When you compare these two...there are obvious differences in the fonts. Compare the small words. They aren't even close.

there are quite a few differences:,

compare:
1. Reg. U.S. PAT. OFF.
2. Standard Oil Company Of New York
3. the M in motor & font
4. shade of cobalt blue
5. socony font
6. boldness of red sheild

are they both original?.. cool

Like I have said several times before...in time(20 years or sooner)...all these repos will be "original".
Where is Mark Elmore ?

...he's at work wink

...I think the discussion was about the sign in the eBay auction, which sure appears authentic to me...the one in DB's photo just looks to be a later version of the sign...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
