4 different Auntomtive Lubricant cans. Notice how the can on the far right has a different lid. All cans dated with a copyright date of 1937. Does anyone else have this can and does it have this same 'paint can' type lid? Just seems odd to me.

...that copyright date was on Sunoco cans for a while...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

...that copyright date was on Sunoco cans for a while... Yeah that's true. So then I wonder if they eventually all go to the 'paint can' type lid? Anyone got any of these others with the 'paint can' type lid? Is that guy ever going to finish cleaning that pump

The first three cans are early ones and last one is a later can. Maybe different can manufacturer also. Sometimes, the copyright date does not mean much on some items.
Always looking for Hy-Flash Gas/Miller Oil, Hi-Speed Gas/ Hickok Oil and Paragon Refining items from Toledo,Ohio.

The other day I took a photo of a few of my Sunoco cans to add to this thread. Now I realize I should of read the thread closer about the copyright date. Well, maybe I can do that this weekend if I don't get side tracked. In the meantime here's the photo.
