This junction box is for my erie 53, but I'm thinking there may have been other eries with the same box? You can see that I broke it when taking it apart and I need something to replace it with. I might have to fabricate something if I can't find a junction box that resembles this one. It has a rotating switch on the back side but that wouldn't be important. I just need a box with 4 --3/8 inch pipe outlets on it.

Anyone have one of these, or something that fairly resembles it??? Thanks--KEVIN

What kind of metal is it? Looks like aluminum. If so, it could be welded back together.
If it is pot metal it could solder back together.

Its a pot metal substance. I just cant imagine it would be strong enough if I was lucky enough to get it back together??
Can't seem to get that d**n lid off either?? Heating it didn't help??

I have had to cut the tops off by making a square cut across the two side and then taping the other pieces out after making a cut on the threads to shrink or collapes the inner piece.

Why not bypass it? Or....Simply go to Home Depot or an electrical supply shop and find a junction box that could be adapted? In a lot of cases, I never use these in restorations. They are usually too far gone. I find a new junction box then I replace the switch with a new one and re-wire everything new and direct.Paul www.severngaspumps.com
