I have a Rush Model K that I just restored. I don't know much about it. Does anyone know what years this visible was in production? What size globe would have normally been on the pump, a 13 1/2" or a 15" globe? Not sure if the globe size was determined by the size of the dome, or by the oil co. brand. I'm going to try to reproduce a Crown Standard KY Gasoline globe. I've never seen one in person, so I don't know if they were a 13.5" or a 15" globe or both. Gotta order a globe body and clear lenses and didn't know which one I needed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I found a Fry Mae West 117! Now I need orig. parts! Base doors, cyl. rods, skin & base bolts, reg. fingers, conduit pipe, light arms & shades, & more

My personal preference on visibles is a 15" globe. A 15" globe looks more balanced and esthetically pleasing.

IMO, the 16.5" globes look the best on visibles....
But as a 2nd choice 15".... (again, my opinion)
Looking at the Globe CD, I see that Standard of KY Crown Gasoline used 13.5, 15" and 16.5" globes during the period of the later 1920s...

The Rush K was the last visible that Rush produced. 1927.
The new and improved clock meter pumps came along in 1929.
So we can guess it was in production for two years.

Thanks Loyd, that is good to know. I need to get those books, but I only have a few visible pumps, so I just never have ordered them. Thanks to everyone else for their opinions on what size globe too. I decided to go with an aluminum bodied 13.5 globe because of the clearance with the ceiling. The 15" globe has a height of 18" and that would have only given me a 2" clearance. I'm sure the 15" would have looked better though.

I ordered it from Gas Pump Heaven. They didn't have a steel 13.5 globe body, only aluminum. They did carry steel 15" bodies though. The pump has an acrylic cylinder, so I guess the aluminum globe isn't going to hurt anything. Hopefully, once I paint/powder coat it, it will look ok.
