I'm getting back into collecting after a few year break and I have been searching for this sign since I was a kid. Any information on it would be appreciated.

I am looking for information about a sign on page 63 of Michael Witzel book "The American Gas Station" (original print).

The sign is a Texaco Keyhole distributor sign that reads "C.J. Stahl Distributor".

Mr Stahl was a family friend and my Grandfathers Texaco Distributor. I know the sign was auctioned in June 2003 from the General Petro Musuem auction.

Thanks

Seems to me that I saw it come thru Ebay some time back. Could be anywhere by now but keep looking. Good luck!

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Hoptown is a profile I set up when I couldn't figure out how to reset my other profile password when I got back into the hobby.

Thanks!

Jamie
