I went today to a guys place to possibly buy one sign and maybe some others . It has been a while and I kind of forgot about them. When I got there and pulled up the hill the were gone! Totally my fault for not following up and I had not wrote these down in my little book , the owner had lost my number and said he didn't know how to reach me and a buyer/collector came by and made him a good offer and the rest is history. Don't you all just love it when you miss out and its totally you own fault? Makes me warm and fuzzy !I did get a few oil cans though. Hey its only stuff and I bet someone else will get great enjoyment out of them as well. You can see on the barn where 3 had hung , now lets play a guessing game and see who can name the just the sheild style one in the middle, as I know what it was for sure .

PHILLIPS 66 or MFA.
Upper right of it was a SHELL.

Was this just North of Springfield on Hwy 65?

Phillips 66 with a small shell sign above and to the right. Maybe a sinclair sign on the left. Too many round signs to guess on the right. Richard

I love big signs but those silhouettes are huge. I recognize the Sinclair, Shell and Phillips, what were the others? Well the memories, as they say, are priceless. Must have been one nicely sign cladded building!

Ok , its raining and you can see I have nothing better to do and I like this as my relaxing past time on old gas. I will copy cat Mick aka oldfuelish like his peach tree, and send this road map free and i will pay your shipping also ,to the first correct answer , its a nice Texaco Illinois road map since the buyer was from Ill. I felt it was appropriate good luck , as a deal mick did with DB , Shawn s932 knows what sign it was also , so I cant cheat.

Db , I think you are trying to give someone else a chance? You probably have thrown away more of these maps than most of us have seen?

Db I'm so green I don't even know what. a 36 b roller nozzle looks like let alone have one , if i did yes , lol I have heard you all mention them and know they are like hens teeth? But guys he is giving you your chance better nibble it up and guess ???? One answer only per person to be fair , I figured the ill collector was a old gasser and would have already claimed the prize but I guess not.
