What okoil said... He gave a good breakdown of Marland signage.

I'll add I have a base for the round curb sign that says "Marland Companies". Only one I've seen.

I hope that we, as members of Old Gas, are able to keep up with this education on signs. Without the knowledge of the combined membership, we would all be greatly affected at some time or another by these late model repops.

I agree, this thread is an excellent example of the depth of knowledge and expertise that is readily available on this site.

Thanks for enlightening us all!

Thanks okoil for the info. I always thought this was a FANTASY as I also do not believe this size was actually made. But...I still really like the little sign. I have seen the large triangle signs with CONOCO bolted over MARLAND..I also have a oil tank Marland sign about 7 or 8 inch dia. double sided Porcelain. Kinda gibbed around the edges, but pretty neat. Cant believe it hasnt been repoed.

Glad Jim and Chad jumped in on this one, they are the experts on this site for Marland and a few other Oklahoma based oil companies. All my signs and the ones I have seem all had Marland Oils on them.

FYI;
Seth married Vic's Daughter, then bought the company & sold to Don Beaver.
