Wow!! If this things legit this is a real beauty!!!
And if legit, I would think a steal at that price!! Considering the Sunoco one that sold a few months back in same condition for over 3K.
Any thoughts?

Every thing else he has for sale is a fake. Why would this one be real ? Just because he states it is original with a date on it.

Just another knock off.

I don't totally agree as the AC sign is real along with a few others. He's one of those wonderful sellers that mixes repops with a few good items. I'm leaning that the Pennzoil is real, but without the touch factor...I'm not 100%. Looks thin like an original would be.
he seems to say in the other auctions about them being reissues and reproductions too.
I have a different style one here so we need a member that has an original to see whats up.

Yes I agree the AC sign might be real, But the Pennzoil sign is very questionable. With out having it in my hands and feeling it and fondling it. And it could still fool some collectors.

Good point Mike, Let's see some one post pictures of a real one on here.

When a seller throws in known REPOP signs & claims them to be old/originals, WHY would you even consider buying anything from them?

Even IF real, WAY OVER PRICED!

I feel the same way! If a seller is going to be dishonest "PART" of the time, they lose my business "ALL" of the time!

So if real, this sign isn't all that rare? I mean if $1200 is way over priced. What should a nice original go for? And does anyone know from when these signs date?
