I have a few fry mae wests now and I just picked up a fry 71 yesterday but I want to replace the skins on it I see vics66 and gaspumpheaven.com sells replacements for the fry 73 does anyone know if the two pumps are the same or what the differences are thanks.

I have never compared the two, but Ron Scobie should know.There are many subtle differences in all the models, but the big glaring difference is the large cast iron section on which the cylinder rests. The skins may be shorter on that model. It is a good question for the experts on here.

I know that the cylinders aren't the same because I have a 12x27 Fry cylinder that fits a 73 but it doesn't fit a 71. A 71 takes a 13 5/8x22 so if the cylinder base is different I would think the diameter of the body might be also. That's all I know, which isn't much.....GB.
