I was sitting at the computer feeling somewhat nostalgic and thought some of the "old songs" would bring a smile to my "soul"... And I was right... LOL

Some of you will remember these songs and others might hear them for the first time or the first time in years:

MAN WAS IT GREAT TO HAVE BEEN A "CHILD OF THE 50s - 60s and the 70s" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still "A Flower Child" of the 60s and 70s....

Just much fatter and my hair is much, much thinner and not near as long as my "hippie days"... And much longer than my "soldier days"... LOL

Bob,

My Bob knew most of your playlist, but BMT except I got to know those that were used in later movies--tho some of the songs I like, I discovered well after they released like this one:

I did sneak out of the house when I was 12 or 13 and saw a free concert at a park near Dupont Circle of this song and drank my first and only beer dancing to them:

I really liked dancing to funk as a kid... smile Could not afford records though, so listened to the radio and went to dances at the local Catholic school.

Also liked to dance to this one (the original):

Of course this was the ultimate school slow dance in my day...

Nichole
You'd need 10 beers to dance to AWB'S FUNKY music! Ditto to walk this way. Good song mind you but undancable, unless you had 10 beers. That song brought rap into the main stream of pop music, which in my mind was unfortunate.

You must not have liked doing the bump or strutting! LOL

My best friend and I worked out some great bump routines (this before boys got up the courage to ask us to dance). Jr. High at its best! grin
