My brother in law just purchased this pump this weekend. The first pic is as purchased. The second is after he took the repop globe off and installed an original that was purchased from K.Frith. He said he just liked it better with the star globe on it. It may be wrong but I kind of agree. My question is this. Is there anything we should look at specifically in order to tell if any of is reproduction?

That's a Tokheim 300. Tokheim 39's are older and slightly different in appearance.

the first picture has the right style globe on it.. Yah he knows that. He just wanted to see his original star globe on it to see what it looked like.

Tokheim 300 was manufactured from 1955-1960.

The guys beat me to your answers....and I don't mean to sound like the Pump Police, but get a Sky Chief globe back on that pump...LOL. Nice pump... The only "problem" I see with the pump (and I made the same mistake)is the base should be painted black....
One other consideration for you...the Sky Chief pump plate you have on their was used right up to about the time this pump was introduced. you might consider finding a Shy Chief plate with Petrox on it. Either the one you have with the petrox logo They are 12 X 22.25 or the Sky Chief Su-Preme with Petrox...a lighter shade of green. It makes it kind of fun to get the different styles...

I see the star globe is a black T. The black T is earlier than the pump. The repop globe and sign also are black T. They should be White T to look correct.

Ever sense there was a thread on white T vs black T, I always look. I bought an unrestored short 39 that was originaly a Fire Chief. I bought an original white T pump plate and a repop white T globe even though I had an original black T globe.
