Hi everybody. I am new to this forum. I have been restoring a 1947 short model 39 Tokheim and one side on the top rounded cover has a hole that looks like it come from factory like this. It had a plug with a screw in it. Is this for lights? I am going to use it to turn globe on and off with a push button switch. Thanks Al

The plug was removeable to allow a pricer sign on a metal rod to be placed there. I usually weld and fill the hole. I drill a hole for the switch on the appropriate side as the original switch was side mounted and not on the top. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
