What is that thing on it? Almost looks like a 1930s race car mixed with the gargoyle.

Car pictured is a Bonneville race car as the sign is from Utah.

6 foot double sided porcelain and very heavy.

Covey Oil was required to cover the name MOBILE with their own name COVEY due to a lawsuit by MOBIL oil. So there is small holes for mounting COVEY to the sign. I think it had to do with copyrights. The holes are very small and are very hard to see.

A very desirible and rare sign with beautiful color and gloss.

I'd price it here, but the new owner might not want the public to know. It's a very rare sign. Supply and demand should justify any curiosity of what it will bring.

BTY... thanks KZ1000

Very nice sign. Love the graphics and colors. Maybe I'll be worthy in 20 years or so and know not to ask. Sorry man. I know the rules now.

Man I would be afraid to leave that outside exposed to the elements.

I am always looking for anything Texaco or Oklahoma oil and gas company's, also I am a newbie at seeking globes.
