I have found a G&B model FMP clockface farm pump. I have NEVER turned down an offer to buy a gas pump (just call me a flaming gas pump slut) but I can't say I'm in love with this one. True, it is a clockface but it is not your average run-of-the-mill pump. It reminds me of the offspring which would come from crossing a squatty dormatory refrigerator with a Timex wristwatch!! It's in fair shape but not anything to write home about. I have worked the seller as hard as I can and the lowest he'll go is $150.00 (which is coincidentally the $ in Jack Sim's book). This little runt is of the 1954 vintage. Any advice I could get from you guys on this would be most appreciated! THANKS! Neal Dunn gpf

walk away... it is the first step in your recovery
You don't want that, what would you do with it? It is not worth restoring, can't resell it... what good is it? Now for $50 it might be cool on the side of the house, but $150 is real money, that is a oompa-loompa pump.
I say pass...

Pass... too much $$ for too little pump, plus you don't really like it.
Now if you had a couple of pedal cars..
it would be cool as part of the display.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Neal, that pumps does "Nothing" for me. I have turned down more pumps like that than I can count. Some for free. The only reason I'd consider that pump, would be if it were really, really cheap, and I needed it for a possible trader. I've run into several farmers that had a pump I wanted, and I've offered to put a "farm pump" in place of theirs and give them $. it works..
The "oltoydoc" says, take two Wayne 60's and call me in the morn.

Neal, There are times to walk away and times to run....I'd run from this pump. I have several that came in a load and can't hardly give them away! They take up space and for what you have to pay....you'll learn to hate it! Just my opinion, as always. Paul

The G&B I got is about 3ft high and has rounded corners when viewed from the front , not the side. Is that the same as the one you found??
I moved a big sign yesterday and found mine it has not been seen for some time!! And I did not miss it or even think about it!! And it takes as much floor space as a killer nice pump. The only real use I can think of is to trade for an in the wild pump or as a pump for the kids to fill up the pedal cars ad tractors. Better than not having a pump at all , I guess.
The Wayne that is a bit taller with embossed corners and top is a whole lot nicer looking I think...dodogas
