I purchased this 1955 Tok 39 some time ago. Have been contemplating a restoration and would like to keep it as original as possible. There is this bracket protruding out of the top of the pump. I am guessing it is for a price box? Was wondering if anyone can identify the correct part that would have been attached and where one might find such an item please.

Thanks,
Clayton

It looks like this. These come in two sizes. A short electric gas pump would have had the smaller version attached to it.

That one is priced high. These are available as a reproduction piece for $30-$40.00.

Any ideas on a source for the repro piece?

I just can't believe those were for a price box??? That pump has a veeder root computer with the price clearly stated on the front! Why would they have needed a price box that they were trying to get away from??
I have to believe it was for an advertisement, and I thought I saw one on ebay, or on here, years ago?/
My wife says I'm wrong a lot, so maybe this time too, but common sense says it was for something else! Maybe just a big ad on the price per gallon, but not a pricer box??

I have seen old pictures of them with the price sign on them. Easier to see than the VR price. I would post one but I don't have one right now.
