I had posted a couple weeks back of a need to get an air meter from Ill to Portland Oregon. Well here is that tail. Ron (Chevrolet SS) emailed me and said that he could help. Got the seller to actually deliver this item to him 2 1/2 hrs away and by the way Ron Paid the guy cash for this the same day as I spoke with him. Now let me say this, I have never met Ron but just spoke with him on the phone once last year. He fronted the cash to the guy and I sent him a check to cover the cost. I then looked and looked for a company to crate this, none that was remotely fair. Ron Made the suggestion that he had a contractor friend that might be able to help. If fact they worked together and made this crate. Great crating and even made sure that the insides of this would not get rattled around. Had the transporter (Kingdom Global Logistics) make the arrangements. Ron again helped with the making of the pickup possible.
I received it today, and just wanted to thank Him and show the quality of help that he was able to give to someone he had never met.
Thank you Ron, and I hope someday I can return the favor.

I'm glad everything worked out so well for you Craig....makes the whole Old Gas site feel more like a family when things like this can come together.
I too have only talked to Ron on the phone, but I've always found him to sound like an upstanding guy, and this only reinforces the fact he is.

I agree with Paul! I really like that about this community!
On a side note, Craig, I don't think I could get my jaw off the ground if I was ever lucky enough to take a tour of your Shop!

I have had a lot of contact with Ron and we have both done favors for each other when we can! Ron is a real stand up guy and an asset to this "Old Gas" community!
