Thanks everyone.
Craig, the powder coat is easy, I just drop it off and then pick it up in color. The hard part was getting the sheet metal straight with no body filler. It was nice to start but had plenty of little dings and small dents.
Mark, I agree with you on the fantasy, but I really liked this globe and tried to make it look like it could have been the real deal.
Lance, thanks. Not sure if I made it better because it is a cool globe by it self with no body. I do like it with the yellow.

Matt, forgive my metallurgical NON- knowledge here , but how does one remove EVERY imperfection with out using at least some vintage Body Lead instead of plastic body filler when one would Powder coat ? The work you did meanwhile is certainly impressive ! Ed Shaver
see ya on the road folks !

I appreciate the patience and skill that goes into "pick & file" metalfinishing to straighten metal without filler. Nice job all the way around. The Silver Shell logo on the Shell yellow jumps out and looks great to me.

...the clockface threw me, hadn't seen it before - or maybe it's in The Book and I just never thought to look for it...guess the 'A' is because it's a clockface, and not a computer?
