You plant it in a flower pot or more precisely you plant the flower pot into it! When I purchased my recent North Star lens I knew it was coming with the wrong glass body that had a busted bottom but had an improvised base put onto it. The plastic pot fits quite well into the opening and the added thick wooden plug really stabilizes the whole piece. So what do I plant in my new white and green 'flower pot"? A white rose of course. Cheers, Don.

Thanks for sharing Don...
I doubt I would have come up with such a solution to that particular problem. Using the plastic flower pot and insuring that the wood block made it heavy enough and stable enough to handle the weight of the body and lenses, was genius...
I think the one who thought up the flower pot usage; "made lemonade out of a lemon"...
And your use of the White Rose lens, made the "lemonade" all that much sweeter! IMO...

That's very cool and if you paint the flower pot white, only the sharpest eyes would catch it. Nice idea!

Cut bottom out of pot, then using white tinted resin shape to look like a base should. To stick better to glass, at a craft store the sell Glass Etching Paste.

You also could check to see if there's a white flower pot out there with the same flex you need. Tho the green looks good to me...
Love creative fixes, especially when they turn out that good.
