The question I posted....
How do you get rid of old gas slime and stains on the glass cylinder of a visible pump?

Many of you answered with many options and I THANK you all but Ron's answer was bold... Oven Cleaner.
I called Ron to see why and he gave me the Chemical answer, simple and to the point.
I tried it and wow, withen minutes it cut thru and the glass was clean.... You just have to be careful as it will strip some paint if left on too long (found that out years ago) and the fumes are crazy!!!

So this is a Big Shout out Thanks to Ron, as ever since I met him at Iowa Gas many years back The retired school teacher has never once stopped teaching me on so many things in this hobby and the people around and in it.

Thanks
Mike
