Last week, I bought a large crock pot at a yard sale. Put your metal painted parts in the pot, ad laundry detergent, tsp, or oxi-clean, pour in water to cover, and turn it on to high. In a few hours, remove the parts, most of the paint will have fallen off, the rest will easily be removed with a dish scrub brush. Easy, and you don't have to watch it. It's ok to leave the parts in over night if you wish.

If you are going to use a stripper. My advise is to use one like
"Citri-Strip"... It works good,(IMO). It is not near as harsh as a good number of the strippers. The product has a citrus aroma that is not unpleasant...

I get my containers from Amazon.com

...I guess this will work with embossed pump ID tags? I've had some I've soaked in paint stripper overnight, and there's still paint in the nooks and crannies...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
