I don't think that's strong money. The money I spoke of was the three combined. Look what you gave for a motor, and compare. Glad you got the motor.

I learned one thing for this auction that people that are hard-core Harley collectors dont like servi-cars, one of bidders at the auction called them the "red headed step child" of motorcycles. Dan

30 years ago you couldn't give Servi-car stuff away, now it's gold. Servi-cars in this auction went for half price. Fenders were dirt cheap. There's a Servi-car box mount and leaf springs in two separate lots on page 26 that should have been together. The lots brought $5 each, that mount & springs sells all day long for close to $500. Wish I had known about this sooner but probably better for my wallet I didn't. Some guys got some damn good deals.

My Dad was at Davenport and he said that the Servi Car that sold for $4500 sold again in the swap meet for $10,500. There was a lot of money to be made on those bikes. Wish I would have not been at work during that Auction.

You know that everybody had a chance to bid on the Servi-cars the auction was online for over four months. Then why did nobody bid on them? We only had one man call and ask about them. We had hundreds of other calls about the auction.

If their are so valuable why did they go so cheap? I can see one of them going cheap but not all of them. There was over $15,000 in advertising on this auction and the Servi-cars were mention in every ad.

Dan I think you are right most people see these as the red headed step child. I find it hard to understand that in a collection a person wouldn't want one to display,as they are part of the history of Harley Davidson. I don't believe Wheels Trough Time has one and I'll ask Dale his reasoning next time I'm there.

I remember a old fellow had one when I was a kid he provided home service for the drug store in town. The only drug store in town. Those were the days huh.
