The old gas station at 5323 South Kingshighway in St. Louis, Mo. has re-opened after a rehab to be an ice cream shop. More food choices are on the way. The owner is a petroliana collector who fell in love with the building years ago. Right now hours are Tues-Sun Noon to 9 pm and closed Mondays. Hours are subject to change once they have their grand opening. They are scheduled to have a auto repair shop mural painted on the former garage door. Google Map

What I like the most is the buildings two front pillars. What is the brick building behind it, a school? That would be good for business.

I have passed by this building for years and hoped that it wouldn't be torn down. Great to see it saved.
The buildings behind it are all residential I believe. A church is across the street.
Maureen took this pic of me (on right) talking to the owners, Dale & Dan Fitzhenry

Very nice building and looks like a great place to stop by.
Does anyone know where to get those 3D figures? Especially the gas jockey and the mechanic seen in the second photograph.
