Hi,
I have this sign and want some info the is a sheet metal sign with a wood frame and slats in the back. The size is 72" x 24" bottom right hand corner reads.. LD NELKE -SIGN- NEW YORK. This sign came from a man who's dad pulled it down in the early 20'S in NEW YORK and has had till I bought it from him years ago and at that time he told me it is a 1 of a kind. I'm thinking about selling and just want to learn more about it. I'm going to try and post a pic if not you can email me.

Nice Sign. Is it in a antique store in that pic?
Does it have a sandpaper type texture or is it just painted?

Rare 1920's Kant Rust Lubrication Oil sign. This is an all original sheet metal sign with a wood frame that measures 72"X24". The bottom right hand corner reads LD.NELKE-SIGNS-NEW YORK. This sign pre-dates back to the early 1920's. ********
