I would say its not legit based on the fact that the Shell emblem is not centered in the square and the top of the clamshell covers part of the clock manufacturer.

How would he know it was original red neon if it wasnt tested? Wasnt the old red neon a gas that appeared red when lit? As opposed to a newer red colored tube?

I agree, it reeks repop decal on older clock!
