I just thought this piece very cool! I can't imagine from when it must date. Got to be darn near turn of the century I would think. I always find it interesting any piece from that era when the automobile industry is just getting it's legs and all the other industries come to life that grew from it. Like tires, oil, gas....

This is from Goodyears own site on the history of it's logo.

Again, just thought this a very cool little and old piece!

You are not the only one that thinks that the tin is "cool", Steve...

I have been looking for one to add to my "junk" for a while now... Just haven't found the right tin yet...

I am lucky enough to have one of the early tin signs in my collection; It is weathered and the original mounting holes are quite brittle... But, it does have character, IMO....

Wow!! Bob that sign is awesome!! Sure you always wish they were a little better, but that is an awesome piece of history right there!! There cannot be very many of those around. You just have to wonder where it's been for 100+ years!!
Very nice!!

This also from the Goodyear sight:
1901 First advertisement in Saturday Evening Post with wingfoot trademark.
