If that is the case I would think the 1 gallon would be more desirable (better graphics and less produced). One gallon of metal polish sure seems like it would go a long way. To answer the title question: My guess is in the 4000 range. Always looking for: Early Oil and Auto Cans, Kenyon Tire Signs or Displays, Stutz Motor Car Company Items.

I still have photos at home of these being produced on the line. I think it was earlier than the 1918 stated. 1912 or 1914 is coming to mind. When I was collecting vintage movie posters on ebay 1998-2004 I would only bid at the end. Back then I believe many fellow collectors would search what I was bidding on and bid also. I stopped bidding early for that reason but also not wanting to add to the bidding number as it would also draw attention.
