I recently aquired a Wayne 60 Tydol pump.I'm Trying to make it original as possible. I stripped off the old paint and found the original colors were bright orange in the center with black onthe sides.My problem is the decal. It looks as if there may be one over another. Above the TYDOL it says something about being solvenized and something else below that i can't make out. Does anyone have a picture so i can reproduce this?

Check out page 144 of 'Guide to Gas Pump Restoration'. I think this is the decal you're looking for.

I also don't believe that it is commerically available.

Of course, I can mock one up for you if you want me to. Just drop me a line and I'll put some artwork together for you.

DON,i will be watching this site to see the answers about your color and decal question for a wayne 60. i am doing a wayne 60-s , right now, and it also had a coat of orange and black then a coat of light green then a coat of latex white. it has tydol ethyl ad plates where the sunburst would be, and they are org. black and white. i do not have a really good picture of a restored one to check colors on. thanks,norm huff,cmeon66

I brought my 'Restoration' book into work this AM and looked at the decal I mentioned under a 10X loop. The one in the book doesn't say 'Solvenized' like your old original. The illustration actually says 'Triple-Action' at the top. Sorry.

If you can do a tracing or a 'rubbing' of the original on your pump - I can still recreate it for you.
