Don't laugh yet. A friend came by my house today and wants to put a small Flat screen TV inside an electric pump or electric pump door only. Any suggestions as to which pump would be a candidate for this type of "activity"? Thanks in advance...Dave

A Bowser tele-view pump face opening in the door is a little over 17" wide and 18.5" high. Some 1960s pump faces are wider.

In the day when square televisions were all you could get, I saw several in Tokheim 300s.

I appreciate the information. I don't believe that my friend cares about the age of the pump. He just wants a gas pump with a tv in it. LOL Thanks again, Dave

There are a few Company's on the 'net... That sell "Fake Pumps" made for flat screens...

And Retro USA that uses Tok 39:

Why is it always "a friend" who is identified as the culprit in these kind of stories Dave?! : )

I think a Tokheim interceptor would work pretty good.

Because it is the truth..lol This guy is my auto mechanic. His name is Jorge Heidrich. He owns a repair shop two hundred yards from my house. Heidrichs Auto Repair on US 27 in Cataula, GA. You thought that it was me Dr. Dave! LOL I can't see a 35" TV from 12 feet away. It wasn't me. I generally don't like modified relics ie. Gas pump TVs, visible pump aquariums, jukebox liquor cabinets, etc. Just not my thing. Dave

On a related note,I see this guy selling refrigerators that look like old Gas pumps.
http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/app/4058902061.html

Although they don't appeal to me,I'm glad he is actually using old refrigerators and not old gas pumps shells.

Aren't those pretty cool Dave.
I like that he puts a rubber mat in front,so when you step on it before opening,a gas station bell goes DING DING! smile

The guy is local to me,I should visit him.
