Hey there,
I have a Tokheim 39 tall that I am fitting together, it was in pieces when I bought it. While assembling it, I am seeing that either the hinges on the frame or the hinges on the door are off. So I am looking to find out if the hinges on both sides of the pump hinge on the hose side of the pump? If so, are the door brackets the same for both sides, just flipped 180 degrees and welded to opposite sides?
Thanks, Dave

The biggest help I can offer you is buy a copy of the original parts manual, that was in the box with the pump when it was delivered new to the station. This may answer many of your questions. http://petrolianacollectibles.com/tokheim%2039%20tall.htmJack Sim

Both sets of hinges attach to the hose side. Reset handle side has the access door so that is the latch side.
Unsure what you're referring to as the door brackets?

One door will have hinge brackets on the left side and other will have hinge brackets on right side of door. All of the door hinge brackets are the same and flipped as you mentioned. Good luck, Dennis

Thanks for the replies. Makes sense now. On my frame both sets of hinges are on the hose side like it should. Both of my door hinges are on the same side. Looks like all I need to do is take off one set on a door, flip them and weld on the opposite side. These doors must be from two different pumps. Thanks.

I wouldn't go through all that trouble. Simpler to not use the hinges. Just place the doors in place and line up the door with the top trim and then raise the door up into place utilizing the latch mechanism through the little access door. The doors will latch and stay in place with just the latching mechanism's only.

I tried that and it only works if the hinge brackets are removed because they interfere with the rod that raises the door.....The right and left hand doors need to be used in the correct places....Dennis
