I have a red indian head that a older gentlmen has had on his wall since 1954. He said his father got it out of a texaco station. Has anyone ever seen one? and whats the real value?

I tried to do this earlier but im not sure how. So im trying again. I have a plaster red indian head that a gentleman has had on his wall since 1954. He got it from his father who took it out of a texaco station in 40s? Does anybody out there have apivture of one? or know of one that has sold ?

They are a plaster composite, about 24" and heavy. I wouldn't say they are really rare, I've seen more of them than the Marathon Blue globes. Value is whatever someone is willing to pay, but I have seen them for $800-$10,000 for one still in the box. This one is pretty rough, it has either been painted over or is faded bad, hard to say.

I would agree with pogo gas . Many of these seem to have been painted many times . Some, from what I have seen, in the box ones, came unpainted . I have seen them from 2000 - 10000 . They are a great piece . They are legit and you can tell if they are old by examining the plaster .

Hi, If you are Dave I was told you can tell me more about my indian head? I cant find any pictures or anything. And the people I talk to want to buy it but the price is so up and down im not sure who is honest and who is not? Can you tell me anything? Thanks.
