I picked this one piece globe on ebay a few years ago. I figured it was a fantasy globe, or for a small newer gas station. Since then I have seen mud flaps on ten wheelers with the same logo. Can anyone let me know where these stations are. thanks Richard

That looks like an exterior station lighting/ad globe from a Petro truck stop. These truck stops are located in the south - there's one in my home town of Shreveport, LA. Whether they are still around, i'm not sure, but they were definitely there 8yrs ago.

As the previous post said, they are truck stops located along the interstate highway system. There is one doing business on interstate 44 near Joplin, MO. I think they started business within the last 20 years or so.

The globe was probably made by Petroleum Artifacts of Tulsa, OK. They make solid glass globes for anyone who wants to purchase a quantity of them. They make a repro clock gas pump that is give away on the "Price Is Right" TV show, and is usually has a globe on it picturing a dog, and the gas is called something like "Dog Gone Good Gas." They are the ones that found the original mold for the Red Crown globe and they repro them also.
I got to know them when I was next to the owner of the company at the 1989 Iowa Gas. Great guy, we had a great time.
