My two car garage only has 8 foot walls and I am out of wall space so I hung my new Shell sign on the ceiling. I did it by myself so I had to use a ladder with a couple pieces of wood bolted to it, then slid the sign up on it. I was able to position it and then screw it in place.

It is a shame to see a great looking sign like that on the ceiling.
Not wanting to be negative, just figure a quality sign like that should have better placement.
My friend tried putting signs on the ceiling but it just did not look good. Within a couple weeks he took them all down.
On a more positive note, your pump collection looks amazing. Have you posted pictures of them already?

"It is a shame to see a great looking sign like that on the ceiling."

Well I could have put it on the wall behind my gas pumps and not be able to all of it like these or put it on the ceiling and see the whole thing. There is a nice 48 inch sharks tooth Shell and a nice 25 inch Shell motor oil. How much of them can you see?

Anyone that has signs on your ceiling, you are welcome to post pictures in this thread.

Looks great Matt!

Isn't that what ceilings are for??? I'm with you...I would rather have signs on the ceiling then bare ceiling space.
