Hi TomD It is a one piece sign. There are no dates. Just "Property of Pennzoil--Made in USA" The company and location it was shipped to is stamped on the back and I went through some City Directories back to 1963 and couldn't find that company here.

Hey Alex, since you just collect Texaco I will trade you a Texaco Touring Service Map Rack with some maps for it! Might even throw in a chipped-up Texaco pump sign. Or I'll give you $10 more than you paid for it. What d'ya say? Heck of a guy ain't I? Brent

Brent: Thanks for the offer...I think I will hang on to it. Just out of curiosity, what would it sell for in a shop?

Alex, Just kidding on the offer. I have no idea what it would bring in a shop, maybe $400, maybe more? The uniqueness and size is what I like, stuff that everyone else does not have. I would just about guarantee you that you could make some money on it on ebay. Is it flimsy tin or pretty substanial?

It is flimsy tin. It also has some scratches, and it looks like someone maybe sprayed some lacquer on it as there is some flaking (not paint) going on as well. I am going to head to the library to see when the company it was shipped to was in business.
