On Saturday afternoon, I received a call from a lady stating that she had a lead on a McColl Frontenac Products sign that she was wishing to buy and then sell. She inquired if I would be interested.

She explained that she was into buying and selling items (a picker) and that she had bought some items from an older gentleman. The gentleman had the sign and was interested in selling it. She stated she knew nothing about signs. She wanted to make the gentleman a fair offer as he had already turned down several offers from other people.

I asked her to send me pictures as she lived about an hour away from my place. She said she would attend at the owners residence and take some photo's.

Later that evening, I received the photo's and the sign was a little rough. But, a Red Indian sign is a Red Indian sign and even the rough ones are good trading stock. In my excitement, I neglected to ask her the size. From the photo's I assumed it to be a 60" sign.

I made her an offer and broke it down into two parts told her what to offer the seller and what I would pay her for the sign.

On Sunday, she called me back and said that the seller sold her the sign and that she wished to sell it to me for what I had offered her.

This afternoon, I drove out and met her. To my surprise the sign was a 30" sign. One that, I didn't have in my collection. Now it's a keeper, especially since I got it for the price of a 60" sign. I'm still stoked!!

My 2 year old daughter was also excited.

Thanks for all the positive comments! My wife and daughter came with me for the drive (2 hr round trip) when we went picked it up.

My little girl loves playing in the yard and was pretty happy that she got to wash the sign and all her outdoor yard toys.
