Bringing this out in the open is the same as giving him Free exposure. He will get 1 sale out of this thread, not a B****'G, posting member, but by someone reading it. May not be the item discussed, but something he has in his listing.
Best to not even bring it up.

It should make all of us angry because it ruins the hobby..as do fakes which I can't stand..but when I go on ebay and see a common sign such as a fire chief pump plate for example, and the buy it now is $450 it makes me sick..the seller often has no idea what signs are worth so they ask double and when you throw them a reasonable offer at retail, they think you're screwing them over.

Couldn't agree more.
You guys don't get understand his selling tactics.
He knows full well his outrageous asking prices, but realizes this website & the hobby in general laughs, scoffs & despises him,so he is playing on that.
He's literally hoping someone from here or elsewhere will post something about him or a link to one of his items each week.

He then takes their best offer.
Look at his completed auction..that's how he's selling stuff and taking advantage of this & other sites.

Good or bad,he's getting noticed.
Stop giving him any mention & wasting Oldgas bandwidth.

Didn't he get drummed out of this segment of the hobby already?
Isn't he old news here?
I particularly like our free society where one is free to overcharge or to overpay.
Although not exactly apples to apples, auctions (Matthews, Daniels, Barret-Jackson, etc.) have a far greater effect on prices and perceptions than one piddling ebay seller. I don't follow them nor watch them on TV nor do I any longer look at this and many other sellers' ebay auctions as that is the only way I can effectively combat their effects upon my attitude about their effects upon the marketplace.
I don't ***** and moan, I do as DB advised; I hit the ignore button.

A Few members here are trying to learn Overnite, what we learned over the Years, asking about every item they run across. Stick w/ just a couple of companies 1st, then branch out as THEIR KNOWLEDGE expands.

How about the ones that show up overnight and by morning think they are ready to hold class?

Hi I really Enjoy this site I joined it because I Enjoy reading everyone stories, bow, old pics etc But it seems lately all the posts are people complaining about other people and what they want for items has gotten out of control. I collect because I enjoy it. If you don't enjoy this hobby and it raises your blood pressure Maybe its time for a new hobby Just my 2 cents

See, now that is funny right there!! Laughter was 50% of the reason I posted this at all. $450 to $1800 is pretty damn funny on the surface. But yah, the other 50% was just a basic disgust with seeing someone trying to gouge the uninformed. But I did find it a little funny to see the price markup right in front of my face.
But DB is right, I shouldn't have even given it the time of day. So I apologize to those who took offense with this post and I share a laugh with those who find this seller's tactics a bit goofy to say the least.

Have a blessed evening and GO OLDGAS!!!!! (insert fist raised, head banging smiley here)

I do belive he can buy and sell whatever petro item he wants and no one, and I mean no one, can tell him any differently. He may sell 1 thing or nothing. Up to te "buyer" entirely. If he's still at it, it must work at least some of the time. If it wasn't for people buying: he would not sell....sorry no one accepts that....This really is cut and dry, and people are sounding very jelous here now. If you dont want to trade a $20 dollar bill for a $10 dollar bill then don't.

I guess all you/us can do is not buy it or *****. This thread is for information, not somones saying, I cant afford that..thats a crazy price, I didnt sell mine for that much, so he should not either. I cant understnad that he wants that price. Well guess what he does and sometimes can.....accept it.

He has had more exposure for sales than he already deserves. Stop being fuel.

supply and demand people get over it...they prob have $600 + into it with fees and shipping and they will prob sell it for 1k-1200 and make a buck or two after fees on the other end.

But if a wholesaler buyes an electonic piece for resale and then charges a huge mark up, they call that capitalism. It is a problem I agree with people here on what originally was called out, but what about all the middle men that mark stuff up 100-400% for our everyday use?
It is bother some in each instance, but again we have the choice to either go somewhere else or buy another item.

I deleted the last post as it was completely off topic and was very confrontational. If anyone has issues with another member, please use the PM function for contact.
