This weekend my kids and I were out pump hunting when I decided to stop at an old farmsted that had a Wayne 70 that I have been trying to buy for 10 years. I have stopped many times and looked at the pump and talked to the farmer but never had any luck. This time my kids were along and as we pulled up my 7 year old son said" Now that is a nice pump dad!!! Are you going to try and get the top too?" I told him the top probably got broke a long time ago. To which he replied "No it didn't dad, it is on the top of the light pole. I about fell over. I had never seen it up there in all the times I stopped. Yes we did get them both and I don't know if I was more excited to get the pump or just excited because my son spotted the stationlighter.

Kevin

I did not bring a ladder so I am going back this week with a ladder to take it down. Who knew you would need a ladder when pump hunting.

I climbed a 42' tower in Alabama once to retrieve a Standard Oil Glass Flame. It was mounted on a hill outside an old mom and pop garage.Thought that I was going to get killed over a relic. It was quite an adventure. Dave
