I got this sign from my Dad's hometown from the original spot at the station so it means a lot to me. I have a couple questions. Has any one seen one like this before? Also I can't seem to find anything about what the original color scheme would have been for this sign? Any help or knowledge is appreciated. Thank you.

I assume that the sign has just been painted purple? You can possibly remove the purple layer and save the original paint underneath with the original colors unless they were all gone before the purple was put on it. Might try a small spot and see what happens. Just a suggestion....GB

Thank you everyone for the help. Now I know what it looked like! And sorry about the purple tint, it was taken with my phone in the garage, it is just rust.
