I've been given several different old cardboard oil cans for a gas station storage shed I build in my backyard. I'd plan on placing them in a window I placed to make the shed look like a gas station. Does anybody know how I preserve the outside of the oil cans to stop the fading of the colors and printing on the cans? Varnish, Clear coat ? Thanks DZ

It will SLOW the process, but not stop it. Keep an ample supply & change out as needed. db
