So I stop by my insurance agents office to check on an insurance issue. As I was talking with him I noticed the red top of a globe sticking out from behind a copy machine on the counter. Asked if I could look at it - sure go ahead. Picked it up and could not believe what it was. Probably about as mint as you can get without finding one NIB. The guy said he had a client that brought it by who needed some money so he bought if from him to help him out. I asked if the insurance agent would sell it? Sure. The price? Bargain of a lifetime! Carefully walked back to the pick up with the globe clutched tightly to my chest. Still in a bit of disbelief over this deal.

Wow! Great score. I'd be trying to get a name and number to see if there were additional items. He may need some more help.

Craig is right about that! You might want to consider building a display, based on this globe!
The chances of it ever happening again are pretty slim!

That is a beautiful globe and story. It is so much more fun to find an item that way than simply deciding to try to buy something that is known to be for sale. Congrats.....GB.
