Scored a sign and ad-glass I had been working on for some time.
Anyone want to show off their knowledge by saying what company the bluebird is from? (no looking up! Or if you do, don't answer-ha ha)
Also (because I don't know)- what company's sign did the DSP torch go on? Not sure of the exact measurements but about 2' wide at base
Looking for any Alabama based globes and advertising such as Coastal, Rebel, Interstate Oil, Foster Oil (supertane), Mutual, Oil Well, etc...

I normally don't buy plastic signs but this one is in great shape and nice looking. The Mobil is a complete globe. Pomiac is ruff but a hard Winona Oil company lense to find.

That MFA collection is looking super Shawn! Just a few more cans for me and 3 more 66 ad plates and map. Kids found these 4 fuel trucks .
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

Got a lead on a Musgo globe a few weeks ago from a friend of ours. Aaron followed up on it a few days ago and was able to pick it up. Muskegon Gas & Oil was from Muskegon, Michigan which is a medium sized city about 15 miles from where we live. They were in busines for a few short months back in the late 1920s. The Indian part of the globe was hand painted so every Musgo globe you see has a few subtle variations in the Inidans features and headress.
Neat story on this one. The guys uncle was remodeling a house in a small town east of Muskegon 40 years ago and found four Musgo globes, each in their original boxes in the attic when he remodeled the house. Each of the boxes had a letter of certification from the artist who did that particular globe. Unfortunatly the box and paperwork were lost to time. He gave the globes to some friends and realtives and the other ones had been sold over the years but this guy held onto his, using it as a table light for many years. He recently found out how much they were worth and that was the end of it days as a table lamp!!
The family had some unexpected finacial needs and decided to sell it. We were thrilled to get it and also it was nice after all these years something that was given to them a long time ago could help them out now.
The stuff is still out there!
