Just a few thing for me . I liked the red crown king size regular book as I have discovered this decal on MS 80 pumps on a couple occasions .
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

Went on a 9 hour trip down to visit family for thanksgiving. My good neighbor's family is about 3 hours away near Midland, Michigan. After visiting my family and heading back home, I Went to my neighbor tom's brother in law, to pick up a 1950 Chevy 4 door for him, and then visited his brother jim near mount pleasant, who used to collect/sell/restore gas and oil. Needless to say i was not expecting anything but to just look at some of his things that my neihbor tome was always talking about. He used to work for leonard oil/total oil and collected alot of cans/pumps/etc over the years but had sold most of it. When i got there we started looking around. He told me to "take any of those cans you want off that shelf" so i grabbed a few. he started pulling stuff out of drawers, cabinets, etc and saying " do you have one of these???" i was way excited!!!!!!! in no time i had a pile of cans, literature, ad glass, toys, etc etc...He said he had no interest in this stuff anymore and that he would like to see it go to someone who would enjoy it. he told me some stories about where he got some of the items and when he used to work for leonard/total. It was a great experience. He asked if i wanted to buy some globes/lenses....i said sure! he gave me a super deal on them....The lenses and globes are reproductions from when he did pump restorations, most of them are marked 1982 ! most of these items are not that exciting to most of everyone here, but to me they are amazing, especially for the price i paid. Lastly, we went out to the shed, and he had a compeletely restored 1937 Chevrolet Leonard oil delivery truck. couldnt get great pictures because it was shoehorned in the barn. but you get the idea. picture frame from leonard oil office. Leonard Truck: some pumps he had out front:
Looking for H.S. Goodell , Barkhausen , Gitchee Gumee, and other Local Upper Peninsula Michigan oil company items.

Well, it looks to me like you had a great time, and an enjoyable visit! It must have been fun just visiting with him, much less getting all the collectibles shoved your way! What a fun day!

Took a trip up to Denver to pick up a Bennet Shotwell that I bought on here a few months ago. Also picked up a restored Wayne 60 and two more on the way back to Houston.
