was there a pacific reason sinclair used copper on some of there quart cans, why did they stop & did any other company use this same practice?.. cool

Yeah I posted one for sale with the standing Dino. Seems like copper plated ones were only a few years in production as most are not.

Darin, if you don't mind would you please post picture of what you have, I've never seen any other company besides Sinclair- these cans I believe are 30's, maybe they started off using
copper & found it wasn't cost sufficient to do.

Hi Randy, all...
Sorry for the delay, I was out looking for goodies today! smile Here are my pair of Barnsdalls with the copper plated tops and insides, just like is visible inside the Sinclair Opaline quart you posted. I found these at a local antique market in the fall of 2012. The seller had 4 total, and boy do I wish I would have bought all 4 for $15 each instead of just the two I bought. Oh well, live and learn I guess!
