Well to make a long story short I have been working on obtaining this Globe for quite some time.Finally able to say it is mine.Cleaned it up a little and it has the original Capco with a few surface stress spiders barely visable and both of the original len's.A few light scratches on one of the lens that are barely detectable.Len's are as close to 100 % paint retention as you can get.Talking about stoked .This is my first globe.
Even my wife likes it .She said "it sure is Pretty".I have to agree.
Wanted TEXACO related items & SUNOCO related items .Signs -Globes et'c. Oil Cans - Grease cans .

Thank's John, didn't really know what I was purchasing for sure until after the deal.Just first in line and don't want to say lucky , just was meant to be.

If it's the same one I tried to get, the people did not know what they had. The one I tried to get was on Grand Rapids, Mi. Craigslist, but the globe was in New Hampshire. They said it came from a station being torn down in Muskegon, Mi. We'll have to wait for buzzy56 to respond.

Yes I really did not know what I was getting as far as how good it was. New to Globe collecting , (Ist. Original One ) as I have been working on the old signs for a few months and found a few nice ones and studying up on them mostly. Not mint mind you ,but good enough for me.So finding this was just happen chance.So just goes to show you that good things happen when you least expect it. Can' t believe it but the wife said this morning " you ought to put it in the bedroom"' thought I was having a dream for sure? Globe night light Hm not a bad idea.  God bless us all
