Well it was a really, really strange deal in that the pump had to be bought and moved in less then 48 hours. But it got here today and man is it sweet. Never seen the light of day. Faces are in amazing shape. It was installed from the distributor in this carriage house and was still plumbed and wired in. Even though I'm a Red Sox fan the NYC approved fired Dept label is pretty cool.

Normally I try to get too attached to pumps, signs etc but I have to say I really think its a nice looking pump. It has traces of medium light blue paint still on it. What color did these come in from the factory if they weren't branded and were scheduled to be used for industrial or non retail use?

Here is a question...if that pump has been inside all of its life....why is there no paint left on it? I would think it should have survivor status...and 60 percent or better original paint. Just wondering.

Still looking for that Union 76 ball

It was sitting literally 2' inside the door with plenty of weather in NY. The old man said it has been there since the 30's but I would have expected more paint. Well I would have loved more paint. Who really knows at this point. If it had original paint even half good I would never touch it. Just wire the top for the globe light and done.
