Found a Quaker State Tombstone measuring 26 1/2 wide by 29 tall at a local antique store. Says Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation on the bottom left hand corner and IBL Local 1642 Made in USA G-98 in bottom right hand corner. What era is this? They wanted $290.00 for it and I was going to buy it but do not know the age of it. Also, I was not sure about the grommets. They were silver and about 3/4 dia. Looked like those that are on those blue tarps. Lead me to beleive it was not very old. Also came with a stand that looked like 1" angle iron formed into a radius to match the sign, but had no feet of any sort.
Thought maybe this was homemade but do not know.
Condition was pretty good. Painted tin with no rust and very few scrathes.
Should I go back and get it?
