I've been seeing these around lately. If they're ashtrays, where are the notches for the cigarettes?

Ya, Junk. Honestly, I figured as much. I just had never seen them before and i ran across them in kind of an obsure place. And I'm a sucker for a 40's pinup girl.

I had seen the Texaco ones but never these Mobil ones. I pretty much figured they were junk but I had to ask. Because of where I saw these, I pretty much knew I could get them cheap. And if it turned out that they were authentic in some way, I could sell them off and maybe make enough to fund a nice oil can or two. I would have no intention of keeping them.
Turns out they're junk and that just fine too.
