Great question Steve, I have seen a Cities map holder identical to this recently. I have no clue myself but the one you posted looks like it was cut with a tin snips at the top.

I don't think i've ever seen a repro of those before. They're not uncommon, but they still go for fairly high money considering the size. I think that one in particular had the top cut for some reason.

I guess another answer to your question is that no, I don't think that is a repro. Texaco made a couple of variations of that map holder.

I saw one in an antique store a few months ago that looks to be the same as this one in very nice condition....... they had it priced at $65.00. Is that about what they are worth?

As far as value, the later more common versions in nice condition like Bob`s $125-$150.00
